David Chapin Greer
June 15, 1934 - March 23, 2006
David Chapin Greer of Magnolia, Ohio passed away Thursday, March 23, 2006 in his home embraced by his family. David was
born in Canton, the third child of the late Richard Cable and Elizabeth Loomis (Chapin) Greer, June 15, 1934. David graduated
from Old Magnolia High School in 1952. In 1954, David enlisted in the Army being assigned to Fort Richardson, Alaska where
he served as an Arctic Ranger and later assigned to the 71st Recon, 3rd Armor Division as a tank commander. Upon an
Honorable Discharge he returned to his hometown of Magnolia for a short time before moving to California, obtaining a degree in
Survey Engineering at Pasadena City College in 1959. During the years of 1960-1962 he was employed with Central Valley
National Bank and Barkley Realty as a loan officer and surveyor. In 1963 he returned to Magnolia to assist his father in banking
at the Bank of Magnolia serving as a loan officer and later as Vice President and President. David loved to be outdoors hunting,
trapping and farming. David retired in 2003 from the bank but remained active as Chairman of the Board.

His brother, John Richard Greer, precedes him in death.

Thank you to neighbors and friends who helped through the years give dad more quality to his life, whether in work or in
laughter. To our aunts and cousin, we extend our deep appreciation for your dedication, love and loyalty to dad and to our family
throughout the years. To Dr. Heistand and staff we thank you for your compassion. To all his 'girls at the bank', he loved you
all. To Jenn, our devotion to you for being with us through his final journey, you are a Godsend. God Bless and keep you, Dad
loved us all and he is now home!

Services will be conducted Mon. at 12 Noon in the Trinity Lutheran Church in Magnolia with Rev. James Kennell officiating.
Friends may call two hours before the service, from 10-12 Noon. The Finefrock-Gordon Funeral Home is in charge of
arrangements.
Surviving family names were eliminated for privacy.
